my name is hilah (ee-la) and i’m a multi-media artist. i make images , essays , and websites , (and sometimes songs ).

i grew up in the mid-2000s, living virutally on internet forums, online games, and chatrooms, but physically i’ve lived in the midwest my whole life. much of my childhood was spent introspectively and anonymously, fostering a perception and space for myself online in a way that i wasn’t able to in real life.

now, in my artistic practice, i embrace what i once did out of neccsity; using the autonomy and freedom i feel within digital mediums as a mode to reclaim memories and emotions from darker places.
